To Adventure

For the Ghost Busters: “Dark side of Charleston” Historical walking tour- there are many of them and some are led by candlelight.

For some Low Country Love: Wadmalaw Island: You can go out to the Firefly Vodka distillery and do a vodka tasting… Sweet tea vodka and lemonade vodka are amazing. The lemonade you can only get at the distillery. It’s right near the only Tea Plantation in the United States

For some Luxury: Drive out to Kiawah Island even if you are not ready to pony up the $600 for a hotel, go for lunch at the golf course. It is worth seeing!

To Shop

For Loomis Luggage Inspiration: Antiques of the Indies, with old campaign and plantation chests, trunks, etc.

For the boys: Ben Silver– great white dinner jackets and bow ties

For Cute preppy clothes: Copper Penny and Finicky Filly– right on King’s Street which is Charleston’s premier shopping spot

For the Home: SOM (South of Main)

To Stay

In Town: The Venude Inn- located right in the center of town this gorgeous bed and breakfast has long twisted hallways from a converted plantation house and no two rooms look the same. Old Charleston feel with luxury modern conveniences (like Loomis Luggage), the complimentary hot breakfasts made to order, the wine at 4 o’clock and the cookies and milk at night give it a nice feel. The Planters Inn and the Mills House are also great options located in town. Outside of town are more affordable options– Marriott Residences offer good value for large groups who want to stay together. Also, with all the properties for rent VRBO may be interesting.

And we’ll leave you with some fine white bucks to end our Charleston Travel guide!
